College For Dummies: San Francisco State University

When I was deciding where to apply and enroll in after I graduate from senior year in high school, I was adamant to have the following: a cool climate, a great curriculum for my course of interest and a very lively campus. I chose San Francisco State University and it totally delivered.

First of all, the university is stunning. You get to walk around great manicured lawns and modern architecture. Despite being inside a large city, I absolutely love walking in and out of the campus because I get the privilege to take in the spectacular weather and be surrounded by beautiful scenery. It helped me take my mind off a lot of things and because of that, it is much easier to concentrate in class.

San Francisco State University has become one of the universities in the state, if not the United States, that promises an extensive foundation for their students. They have business, arts, social sciences, health sciences, engineering and education. Those students who wish to discover more about diverse dialects could even accomplish this, for instance Chinese, French, Spanish and German. If you prefer a more well-rounded experience of other ethnicities, maybe you can even be picked to go abroad sponsored by the university.

More than 2,000 faculty members are offering their talents and skills for the university. Following their particular slogan "Experience teaches," They thoroughly select professors who has a substantial level of expertise and experience within their respective specialties. It is quite obvious inside the class too. I've learned so much from them concerning field of study and would-be profession that at that time, I wouldn't be surprised if you ever caught me dreaming of exactly what my career or profession would look like in the near future.

To make it even more special, the university also has a number of extra-credit and extracurricular programs. They offer teacher certification, online classes, Hybrid courses and ROTC trainings. If that doesn't tap your interests yet, you can sign up for the many clubs there. You also get a one free hour of tutoring from their CARP system. They tackle every kind of course and a lot of people avail of this so you have to schedule it beforehand.

To get the best out of this university is up to you. Whatever and however you allocate your time and energy in different activities will definitely have an effect in your entire university experience. San Francisco State University gives you this kind of opportunity. It holds a massive arsenal of excellent courses, trainings, social opportunities and more. It is definitely worth four years of your life!
