South American D?cor Has To Be Very Well-Placed

By Lana Bray

Now that the kids have grown up and are out of the house, is the perfect time to redecorate the house and introduce some South American d?cor elements. Your ideas have changed over the years and you now have different thoughts as to what you want. One no longer has to accommodate for kids anymore and this opens many new doors when it comes to decor.

Styles change as you age and when you grow older you tend to want more quality. Now that you have the opportunity, you can buy that antique Victorian sitting room suit for the guest lounge. The stunning painting that you purchased when you went on holiday to Spain can now be elegantly framed and hung in this room. The water stained curtains bought just for the sitting room suit, will match perfectly.

In the main bed room, you will definitely want to buy a king sized bed for the luxury. On top of that you will want to have the space painted in a subtle color that will coordinate with the curtains and the new bedding that you are going to purchase. With no kids to jump on the bed, one is able to have bedding with stylish embellishments, such as stunning crystals and lace. A fur blanket is a must for your bed decor.

When decorating the main bedroom, one would want to go for furniture that will last for a very long time. This will probably be the last time you redecorate the home with new furniture, so one will want to choose quality rather than the modern furnishings. The stunning old fashioned suite in the antique store has been something you have always yearned for and this is just the time to buy it.

The two rickety kitchen chairs and wobbly desk in the study will have to go. In their place will be a sturdy oak desk with three matching brown, leather padded wing back chairs. In place of that old woolen rug that the dog loves so much, will be an imported Chinese rug in colors to match the luxury leather and the linen curtains.

The sewing room where you spent all your spare time will now become the guest bed room. Here you will place two matching single beds. Above the beds will be lightly framed prints, depicting the renowned peace and tranquility of the beach. The new linen curtains in matching colors of the bed linen will give off an air of elegance.

The sewing room can now be turned into a guest room with two matching single beds. Here, one wants to go with a stylish finish and you could opt for some tasteful linen curtains and some matching bed linen. The guest room need not be personal and some lightly framed oil paintings above each bed will do the trick. One does not want to overdo this room and the more simple the deco, r the better.

In place of the blinds that worked so well for all the years, one can now put up some stunning crushed velvet curtains with tie back to keep them back during the day. That old hand painted picture by your youngest can now come down and in it's place can go the elegantly framed Picasso print that you bought when you were on holiday in Venice last summer. All of this is complemented by some incredible South American d?cor.
