By Jeramy Wells

California State University Long Beach is an educational hub for potential students right in California and even those from other countries. In fact, it is one the most diverse public universities in the western part of America. A lot of young students choose to go here because of the countless educational opportunities as well as the refreshing environment to go along with it.

CSULB has more than a hundred of courses for every student's preference. Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral degrees are offered in the university. Found on the border of Orange County and near the Los Angeles coastline, students are treated to an amazing educational experience that is geared towards an overall training for their future careers. Professors that you will meet are well-renowned experts in their fields and they are more than willing to impart all the knowledge they have. Aside from learning about the history and theories of your major, you will get to experience the practical side of it.

When you finish a class, a will instantly be thrust in a peaceful natural surroundings. Like me who like to look at magnificent architectural structures, you get to see the award-winning minimalist design of the facilities scattered around the campus. It adheres to the glass-and-brick theme creatively enveloped with natural gardens with big trees and flowering plants. You will also notice canopy-shaped trees upon entering some buildings.

Campus life is extremely fun in CSULB. There are so many activities that you could do like visit the University Student Union and go watch the most recent films or just turn your kid mode on at the arcade. There are also numerous dining places there. Around the campus are fast food chains as well as cafes. It even has vegetarian and vegan options!

As I have mentioned about the student population, this university is definitely not lacking in spice and pizzazz. You will meet a lot of people here, whether home-bred Californians or coming from other countries. You may meet them at your fraternity/sorority house, in one of your classes, clubs, dorm and sports teams.

Also referred as "The Beach", it is no surprise that students can be found at the beach on weekends. Go biking around town, go to Belmont Shores, go window shopping and at night relax with a bunch of your best friends over a drink or two. When you like to mix entertainment with studying, this university is perfect for you.
