Battle For Identity

By Emeka Whavor

The struggle regarding who we are can be revealed through the first as well as the last Adam.

The First Adam Lost The Struggle: In the following scenario, the war of identity was initially lost, cunningly, to the devil by Adam. Inside the Garden of Eden, the devil told Eve that she'd END UP BEING as intelligent as Jehovah God should she eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was in an effort to be just like God that Adam and Eve did eat the fruit. Recollect that God had already created all of them IN HIS VERY OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS. So we ask ourselves: just how else they 'WOULD BECOME' pretty much more of what they already had been? The Almighty had earlier said: "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness" So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:26, 27. The devil feigns not to recognize this. He demands that you can't simply take it like that; your circumstances are confirmation that you're not successful.

Christ, Last Adam, Won: Christ Jesus is regarded as the last Adam from the holy bible. The ultimate demon came around once again along with the exact tactic he applied against Adam on Jesus. After Jesus' baptism, the heaven opened and the Spirit of God came upon on Him in the form of a dove, and God spoke from heaven: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" After that, the devil came to tempt Him. The holy bible reports: "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." By insinuation this proposed, for the demon, that God calling Jesus His precious Son wasn't adequate, there needed to be some actions to this affirmation. Jesus Christ was required to establish it. If ever the stones turned loaves of bread, then He was undoubtedly the Son of God, if not, He wasn't. It was not improbable for Jesus to turn the stones to bread but if He did, He would have described His success by performance. Jesus Christ, rather than do or even think about carrying out what the devil suggested, answered: "IT IS WRITTEN, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God'." Jesus Christ seemed to be to implying: "Devil, I don't have to turn stones into bread before I realize who I am. I'll never derive my identity from what I have done or what I have not done. Whether I turn these stones to bread or not, I am who God says I am."

What's your perception of success? All of our academic qualification, social reputation, height or beauty; skin color, age friends, mother and father are nothing really worth a reason to not succeed in this life. Many make use of each of our accomplishments or even non-achievements to determine our degree of success in life. Honestly, that's a huge error. The moment a person allows God nature in, he or she has evolved into a life of success.

Turn down Malicious Pronouncements: Sadly, some words folks spoke to us have been set deep in our heart, and we have, unconsciously, allowed those satanic announcements to monitor our lives. Perhaps you have been called a fool; told you are unappealing, unintelligent or perhaps warned that you will never add up to anything in life. Today, I exhort you, turn down those wicked verdicts voiced against you. Prophesy on your life that you've got God's configuration therefore you aren't a failure; you're not whatever you have come through; you're not what people proclaim you might be; you are just what The Almighty God says you are. You're not low quality to any person. Help remind yourself that you are in the remodeling process for success to transpire from the spiritual world to the material realm. You should definitely perceive every struggle you come across as a possible opportunity for increase to burst for you. Don't ever price yourself, products or services low. You will succeed!
