How To Get Popular

By Fernando G. Davis

Talking about being popular seems so high school. Why should we try to be popular? Who do you think influences people? The person with no friends, or the one who's popular with people. I'll let you answer this. If you want to influence people, maybe your social group, maybe people at work you have to be popular with them. The definition of popular by the freedicitonary.com is 'widely liked or appreciated'. If you're widely liked or appreciated you can have influence over others. What does this mean? It means that your opinions your advice are more readily accepted. It means that you can change others' lives, it means you can make a difference in the world.

[ How To Be Popular And Make Friends]

One thing you can do in your steps to become popular is to be confident about yourself. Confident people emit a sort of aura that lets other people know that they can get jobs done and that no matter what they ask, they'll get a quick response. If you have a tendency towards being shy, people won't notice you and will just pass you by. One way you can gain practice is to practice in the mirror your facial expression. If you can control your facial expression, people will want to talk to you more and you'll gain not only confidence but friends.

BE ACTIVE: If you really want to be popular you MUST participate in all sorts of activities going around in the college. All colleges have NUMEROUS activities and you need to attend the most you can. Join clubs and organisations as it is a great way to meet new people and make friends. The most friends you have or in other words the more people you impress the more popular you get! There are many other ways such as going to parties. Parties are probably a better way to interact with other students since students are in a more relaxed atmosphere at the parties and more open to social interaction.

Popular kids don't try to make up a fake attitude so that they can get people to like them. This might work for a little bit, but people will notice the others' true self and stay away from them. If people don't like you for who you are, then there's no reason to be friends with them. You'll most likely not talk to them again. There are many things people want to be, including being popular. But if you're not yourself, you'll never be able to achieve your goals. Try hard, but be yourself in the process.

There you have it 7 tips to help you become popular with others. Using these tips will help you gain friends, strengthen the friendships you have. They will help you gain more influence in your workplace and maybe help you move up the career ladder.Start putting them into practice and remember all of these tips are focused on other people. I wasn't sure about tip no 7 being focused on others but then I realised it is, because you are giving something of yourself to others. To repeat myself:Popularity isn't self-serving, it is about serving others. It's about giving to others, not taking.
