The Qualities Of Good Christian Leadership Coaching

By Janet Stevens

Leadership and coaching are more about action and dedication in helping other people to move forward in order to achieve a particular goal or vision. There are some traits of Christian Leadership Coaching that are essential to have in order to help managers of church resources to do it properly. Without them, it will be hard to influence Christian leaders in managing their institutions successfully.

Be a Christ-centered coach. This is by recognizing Christ as part of your life and teaching leaders to emulate Him. In any case, the church should be run as Christ demonstrated in the Holy Bible. This will make the people you are training to have a good foundation with the word of God.

Be honest and trustful. This enables you to always be entrusted with what you say and the people you lead. When you are a trustworthy person, most people will follow your steps and will believe in what you say. Being honest will always force you to speak the truth and you treat all people equally without favor. You will always be willing to correct each individual and accept to be corrected.

Be passionate about your work. You should show the desire to lead and show the people the correct path. You will also keep learning to adapt to the changes in the modern world that touches on church management.

Have the skills of encouraging others. As a good coach, you are supposed to win more hearts to Christ through the words that come out of your mouth. It is important to evaluate what to say before you speak. Choose words that will make people with different challenges to feel encouraged to have hoped to continue with the life or the work of Christ.

Another important trait is being visionary. A good coach is a visionary person, and can help other people to have or discover the vision that God has for them. This helps you to treat people as what they are supposed to be treated and this will help them to be that way. This makes people that feel low or as if they cannot lead to rediscovering their potential.

The last thing is courage. A courageous leader is the one that is able to step out boldly to present the word of God. This person has no fear of intimidation and threats, but will always preach what is right and just. This will encourage the people you are training to do well without the fear and they will also have fear of doing bad things at any time.

The church requires leaders who lead by example. The world is moving fast and there is a need for religious leaders to acquire skills of managing their institutions that will help them remain true to their calling. Issues like management of resources, communication skills, accountability, and others should be encouraged in churches.
