Every person has different levels of emotions. There are those who are mentally stronger and effective at emotions control, and there are some who cannot conceal their emotions. Regardless of that, the emotions can either affect us positively or negatively depending on the situations we are put into.

There are thousands of people everywhere who only care on improving their intellectual level. Being mentally stronger can make a difference on a person life, after all. To give you an idea on how to boost positive emotions in the long run, we have enumerated and mentioned some tips that could come in handy.

Know yourself. The start to have a good EQ is to raise your self awareness thru deep understanding of your real self, the things you love and the things you hate. Make an effort to reflect on your past experience, values, developments, strong and weak points and many more. Do this regularly, but not too fast. Take things slow until you have learned everything you need to know.

Be open to criticisms and feedback. At times, feedback is even heard from the people whom we deeply trust. While you might agree or even disagree on the views of some people, accepting everything could make you into a better and much stronger individual. Should other simply cannot change or make adjustment to your behaviors, never say an apology unless you are the wrong ones.

Proper breathing can help. Breathing can be a smart and effective practice in controlling your negative emotions. When an individual is often angry, chances are his breathing would be affected and all the bad and negative remarks would come out from his mouth. But once you learn to breathe a lot calmly and more effective in every situation, making decisions would turn out to be better.

Practice mindfulness. Being mindful is simply paying attention on your real purpose. By simply learning to observe your feelings and thoughts without biased judgments, your awareness will improve. Additionally, its likely to achieved clarity, rather than clouded thoughts and confusion. Mindfulness can also deter your negative emotions to prevail.

Celebrate every positive emotion. People who often learn to celebrate and also appreciate their optimism could achieve resilience and would even have smart response despite the depressing scenarios that they face. They could quickly think of good decisions too. However, this might take a lot of patience and time, so have some inspiration along the way.

Learn to emphatize. Know how to put yourself in others shoes. Most of the time, you might want to think about you alone and no one else. But by looking at the perspectives of others around you, this would make you think of the world fairly and nicely despite the bad situations.

Know your feelings carefully well. Work on this regularly until you have made positive and strong personality. Be wary of what type of feeling you wish to emphasized, particularly in tough situations.
