However, a good rule of thumb to remember is that no one knows your body better than yourself. So if something feels like it s not right, chances are it is and time for change.

One of the most important things to do when actually doing yoga is to breathe. At first it may feel like your breathing in when you re supposed to be breathing out and vice versa but as your skillset develops so too will your breathing adjust. What s important is that you never stop breathing as yoga infuses a bunch of different breathing techniques into it. Thus making it crucial.

Keep in mind when an instructor gives pays you some attention it s not because you re doing the pose wrong, even though it may seem that way. But rather help you find an easier more comfortable way of doing that pose and as a result try not to feel discouraged.

Chanting is commonplace in a yoga class and if it makes you feel uncomfortable or you not yet ready to chant, feel free not to do it. Yoga is about relaxation not pressurisation.
