There's a technique even better however, it's called zoxing and it's been in existence since the 1970s. It was invented by Richard Welch, the dad of subliminal photography.

If you wish to know what's much better than speed reading pay attention: The minute you mentally photograph any topic you hold on to that knowledge permanently. There is no forgetting for the simple reason that the information you mentally photograph seeps to your long term memory via your subconscious mind. Mental photography is not only much better than speed reading as far as retention, it's considerably faster too.

Say you decided to speed read, it might probably take you a period ranging from nine to 25 or so minutes to speed read a complete book due to all the dipping and skimming needed. With mental photography it is going to take you only 3 mins maximum. When you can flick through an entire story in 2 mins you can take in that information in two mins. Mental, or zoxing as it is commonly known, wipes out sub vocalization entirely. Consequently while your eyes race through the pages, you aren't stating the actual words to yourself.

You don't have the time for that in the first place! Because you aren't saying the words to yourself would mean that you have insufficient time to take them in on a conscious level. In other words, you aren't relying on your conscious mind to fully grasp the info. Consequently, all of it sinks to your subconscious mind at the center of your long term memory to the place where you finally "get it".

You don't need to rehearse the standard repetitious means of study so as to totally absorb a certain thing any longer. With mental photography you will understand without all of the rote work. That is so amazing! Visualize knocking out those 5 chapters essential to that physics mid-term effortlessly, and truly understanding every-thing? Or just studying for a thing as tantamount as the Bar Exam or GMAT?

Mental photography will change your life! So far as academia it can take away all of the pressure. And it's totally you and absolutely ethical. You're merely making use of something you were born with, to get to the place you want to go in your life. You are born with the capacity to mentally photograph, it's the way little ones learn to speak and walk, but the truth is you forgot it soon after you were taught to read as your main method of understanding.
