There are people who practice this career who come from different qualifications in business, education, and psychology. Some are even licensed psychiatrists who coach but it is not a requirement to be a shrink to be able to coach people.

If you wish to begin a new career in life coaching, you can be trained at a private school or get experience from an experienced coach through mentorship. After training for this job, you have to be assessed by an organization that gives accreditation. This endorsement will let you provide coaching sessions as a professional in this line of work.
