An Overview of the Pricing for Car Graphics

By Stan Neal

Chances are, you've seen a vehicle that has been done up with car graphics as you drive down the road. In recent years, this has become a popular method of advertising that many business owners are choosing. This is going to be a very exciting option for a business, but it is important that the business owner does understand that the process isn't going to be a cheap one.

Many of the companies who offer this form of advertising will require that you meet with them. At this time, the designers will go over what your ideas will be. While looking over their options, the designer will also take into account your own graphics and come up with some designs. In most cases, you will have a fee associated with this process which can be waived if you do end up ordering a wrap through the company.

After your consultation, your ideas combined with the vision the graphic designer has will be then drafted into a graphics design. This will usually take a bit of time and based on how detailed you want the graphic to be, the more costly the result will be. For a unique design, you are going to be paying around $1,000. This can be more or less if you are looking for some exclusive branding added into your car graphics. Those using a high resolution image will need to ensure that they do submit the design to this company in a high resolution.

Once the design has been approved, it will be sent off to a printer. At this time, the printer will print up the vehicle graphics for you based on your requirements. Everything from surface areas to the window covering type will all play a role on how much this design ends up costing you. On average a basic laminated and printed vinyl design is going to run you about $10 per square foot. More complex items like perforated vinyl may cost you anywhere from $15 - $20.

The final cost that will be associated with this will be the installation. Depending on the company you choose, you will find that this can range between $500 - $1,000. The worst thing you can do in this process will be to go too cheap as an improper installation can begin to peel in a short period of time and look unprofessional.

Every company does have their own prices and you will need to take that into consideration for this process. This does mean you will need to look at the companies offering graphics for vehicles and deciding which one will best meet your needs. This will increase the chances of getting a great designed and will end up ensuring you have a great advertising company working with you.
