Top Five Conservative Catholic Blogs Worth The Time

Conservatives within the Catholic Church remain vocal despite the existence of liberal voices allover the world. The top conservative Catholic blogs capture the spirit of restrain as the wave of change sweeps through the church. These platforms give information based on the foundations of this Vatican based church as it was centuries ago. They are run by religious and the laity and cover diverse issues from a unique perspective.

Offerimus Tibi Domine- the person behind the blog is Fr. Henry Simon. He advocates for the faithful to stick to their assigned roles in the liturgy instead of seeking direct involvement. In his opinion, the Paschal Mystery has enough duties for all without the need to do what the religious are doing. It is the performance of own duty that makes the celebrations colorful and fulfilling.

Fr. Henry courted controversy when he suggested that the Holy Spirit allowed Pope John Paul II to remain alive until Cardinal Martini was past the age of becoming a pope. Martini is considered radical and would therefore have been a problem to a largely conservative church. John Paul II was succeeded by Benedict VI.

Sense of the Sacred- Fr. Jojo established the blog with the aim of assisting faithful to understand the element of sacred life, space and time. In his blog, he explains why and how symbols assist Catholics in their journey of faith. A similar approach is adapted when addressing emerging social issues.

Fr. Jojo is a defender of conservative stands taken by cardinals and bishops. In his opinion, ordinary people are unable to understand them because the mind of God is different from that of man. He insists that what is considered progressive is slowly staining the world.

The Hermeneutic of Continuity- the author is Fr. Finigan Tim, a sacramental theologian at St. Johns Seminary based in Wonersh. He also is a lector of Dogma in different seminaries. Having been ordained in 1984, he stands by the traditional theology to-date.

Attention shifted to Fr. Jojo when he waded into the Pakistani tomato debate. He urged the affected Christians to consider this a moment of faith and be proud of it. The fact that other faiths shunned their tomatoes showed that they had something valuable to live for.

Meeting Christ in the Liturgy- Fr. Kelvin is an avid writer, an attribute that could have motivated him to start this blog. With over a million followers over the ten years of existence, it remains top among related blogs. Fr. Kelvin is a former chaplain with the US Navy with a Masters of Art in Sacred Theology. He was once stationed in Iraq.

Fr. Kelvin focuses mainly on daily readings and how they can shed light to the prevailing global situations. In a recent article, he answers Cardinal Dolan on Pro Life issues. According to Fr. Kelvin, the right to life remains with God regardless of the situation. No issue that is outside the body of a woman should dictate the right to life.

Fr. Blakes Blog- it is considered among the bravest blogs and commands respect because of its informative nature. The articles are well written with an impressive sense of acumen. He defends the conservative nature of the church arguing that dissent should not be considered as valuable contribution.
