How To Get The Most Out Of Article Marketing

By Simone Chung

When it comes to article marketing, there are several elements to learn and consider. Search engine optimization, choosing the right keywords, keyword placement, use of tags and attributes, and much more all brings together your efforts in the process and you should understand them well. With the tips offered here, you can get a bit more understanding of article marketing to build a solid foundation for learning about each element involved.

If you want to raise your chances of your article being found by searches, don't make the mistake of publishing it in more than one place. Far better to publish it once, under a single URL, and linking to it with tags from other locations. This is because Google's way of ranking pages in searches is based on the number and quality of links to a single page. The more times your page appears, the more places those links will accumulate, and the weaker your search results will be.

Write articles and reviews of the products that you are using. You have to seem knowledgeable and happy with a product for your viewers to want to try it out. Providing detailed reviews or information regarding the product will help your audience understand the product and want to click through.

Avoid using "marketing language" within the article itself. Articles should focus on some aspect of your market in general rather than directly pitching a product or service. The place to get your marketing in is in your short call to action at the end of the article. If the content of the main article is congruent with the call to action, the reader is more likely to buy.

Consider including images with your articles, in order to attract more attention. Images can immediately draw the eye and incorporating them in your articles is a guaranteed way of getting the articles noticed. However, just be careful that you don't use copyrighted images or images for which you don't have the rights.

Keyword research tools are powerful aids in any article marketing campaign, but they should not be purchased. While keyword research tools and services are available for sale - most costing over 100 dollars - the experienced article writer does not need to spend money. The free tools available online (many from search engines themselves) are more than adequate for the article writer's needs.

Make your article title contain an immediate promise to your reader. People are always looking for information to solve a problem. If you add "5 ways to fix (insert problem), your article will grab much more traffic than a less action-oriented title. Let readers know you have information they want, and all they have to do is read through your article to get it.

With all the different elements involved in article marketing online, you should definitely have a solid base knowledge of this type of marketing, what goes in and what comes out. With this guide to help you, you could get a much better understanding of the process and how your expectations could be met.
