Things Which Distinguishes Tempe United Church Of Christ

By Raymond Patterson

The word temple does not refer to the building but rather to those people who come in there for different reasons. Information that this crowd has is the features which are owned by the place. There are a lot of information concerning a given place for worship which people use to refer to it. One will find that almost all the churches share the same information. But the below information is on Tempe united church of Christ.

Eternal life. The faith the congregation has is based on the belief in eternal life. This is the life after death. They believe in the resurrection which will lead to eternal life. One is therefore supposed to do good as dictated by the bible so that they inherit this promised life. All their works of faith are a target to achieving this. Christians dedicate their whole life in pleasing the creator by doing right.

Jesus as the son of God. Christians just as the word dictates are the followers of Christ. Christians believe that Jesus died for their sin. Therefore, they pray to the creator through him. They believe that the blood that was shed on the cross by this son acted as a way to cleanse their sins. Their sins are forgiven, and hence, Jesus is their belief to this.

The Bible. The word of their creator is believed to be contained in a book called the Bible. It contains all the events before and after Jesus. It is the one which is supposed to provide the necessary guidelines to the life of a Christians. It contains all the rules and regulations of a Christian life such as the ten commandments.

Evangelism as a role. This is the spread of the word to the people both those who are Christians and who are not Christians. These people hold up crusades and missions which are meant to make the word of God known. This is a way which is intended to win more souls to salvation. During Sunday services, the preaching is also done as a way of spreading the good news to believers and those who do not believe.

The aspect of helping the needy and the less fortunate in the society. Offertories and tithes are offered in the temple. These are used to develop the chapel, pay those who are in the ministry and the rest is used to help the needy. Just as Jesus helped the needy, these too aim at meeting the needs of those less fortunate among them.

Follow the footsteps of the past disciples. The roles which were played by Jesus disciples lead these Christians to their daily performance. Discipleship is doing what Jesus followers did. These were roles such as spreading the word and lending a helping hand to the needy.

A holy day. There is a special day dedicated for the attendance of the chapel. They believe that it is this day when God finished the creation and he took a rest. This day is the Sunday of every week. Christians do their work from Monday to Saturday and relax on Sunday to attend to the work of God.
