The New Breed Of Heroes

By Evan Sanders

"A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin

The world we live in can be tough to live in at times. While it does nurture us all, it's hard to ignore the fact that it can tear us apart at times.

But it isn't our world that is as vicious as the people who walk upon it. Every single time someone tries to rise there are thousands working against them to see that they fall. These individuals come out in hoards with the intent to sink their teeth into "the lights" back and tear him or her to shreds.

Our society is built upon the spreading of gossip and the tearing apart of hearts. There is a massive audience of people who are looking to watch others fail instead of succeed. Further, there's a large group of people who will go out of their way to specifically try to bring people down who are rising to the top. They are the wolves and they love to come out and hunt.

It's time for a new breed of hero.

We need lions. Lions? Yes, men and women who are willing to root themselves firmly in their core values and principles and not compromise on them. We need individuals who are willing to stand for others greatness and live lives in such a way that inspire the hearts and minds of those around them.

The people of this world would finally have something to really root for.

But why is this important?

Because as a society we have lost our ability to believe in anything. It's not really our fault that every single time someone comes up in the world they fall for one reason or another. But if we have someone who understands that they aren't perfect and who doesn't attempt to be, couldn't that change the game?

This won't all come easy. In fact, it's going to be one massive responsibility for those who decide to take on the challenge. But because we have these lions who know great victories and the sting of defeat, we have people who are willing to fight for what they believe in.

We are in need of someone who is willing to stand for more than just money, sex, drugs, and everything that is so cliche that has come before him or her.

It's the time of the lion. It's time for the extraordinary.

We need a new breed of everyday hero.
