What Is MyCAA Programme?

Together with the honor of serving in the army comes the agony of continued relocation. Those who are impacted the most by this frequent moving are perhaps the families of these soldiers and ladies, especially their spouses.

So as to go with their military spouses to wherever their duty calls, they can have to forego stuff that we "civilians" treat disrespectfully. Living out of a suit case causes havoc on their pro development. Actually the rate of unemployment among military spouses is believed to be much higher in comparison to their civilian opposite numbers.

To handle this issue, the Department of Defense (DOD) introduced what it known as MyCAA programme, short for Army Spouse Career Advancement Accounts program.

While traditionally, these careers used to be constrained to jobs like nursing or teaching, the rapid expansion in technology has made it eminently viable for just about any sort of work to travel with you wherever you go.All you need are one or two basic necessities - a high-speed Net connection and a reliable phone line among them - to start a transportable career.

According to Military.com, more army spouses are trending toward such careers. And the reason behind their appeal is plain. With typical careers, every relocation means starting afresh for military spouses. But with lightweight careers, moving causes little or no disruption in their work life!

MyCAA Funding

So , the purpose of initiating the MyCAA programme is to help the spouses of duty service members realize their professional goals by removing the finance obstacle between them and continuing education that ends in profitable work.

MyCAA funding gives a monetary benefit of $4000 over two years for military spouses who are pursuing education, coaching or licensure leading to employment in heavy demand, high expansion lightweight fields.

The benefit has essentially been reduced from its prior limit of $6000 and MyCAA funding is not available for four-year and Master's degree courses. Here are a few more details of the benefits under the MyCAA program:

1. The program pays schooling for training courses and Associate degrees as well as licensure or credentialing examination fee. 2. It offers financial assistance for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) classes. This includes classes offered by professional associations. 3. The programme also pays for Highschool completion courses, GED tests, and English as a 2nd Language (ESL) classes.

To be eligible for MyCAA military funding, candidates should be spouses of duty service members in the pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2. It demands that they finish their academic programme within 3 years of taking their first course.

It is also important to note that no money exchanges hands between the applicants and the funding authorities. As an alternative payments are made directly to faculties they're enrolled in through MyCAA program's electronic invoicing system.
