They go through the script a few times to ensure they are satisfied with every word in it.

Stage directors, in addition, plan effectively the rehearsal schedule, and this is made possible through the useful help of play manager. Also, they approve sound, lights, props, hair styles, costumes, sets and many other integral components of the show. Planning ahead will minimize the chances of things going wrong.
