All About The Significance Of The Forest

By Arnold Barney

Deforestation has caused some bad effects on the environment, animals, and people. Because of the depletion of the forest there is an increase in greenhouse gasses that causes global warming, a lot of animals are now endangered, and the supply for needs of people decreases. In this manner, there is a significant increase in the demand for reforestation around the world especially in the Philippines. This is the restoration of the forests and woodlands that has been severely depleted. When the rebuilding is successful, there are surely a lot of benefits that it can offer. It will help the environment and the animals as well as the people living in the area. It will keep these people safe from soil erosion and flood.

When it comes to this type of project, it requires seedlings taken from the area so that majority that grows there will be the trees and plants that have been there before. Multiple species are planted as well to cater the needs of other species that will be living there when all the trees have grown. The project also considers that there will be natural regeneration of different types of plants. In this manner, they make sure that the trees that they will plant on the area will really be compatible with soil and the climate.

Reforestation is carefully planned out to avoid any problems in the future or even while the project is ongoing. Spacing on plants and trees should be accurate so that it will not overlap each other while they grow. It may cover other plants which will cause it to die eventually. It is also considered to use native species of plants and tress which is very much beneficial because it will surely survive. This helps the restoration of the soil and rejuvenation of local flora and fauna.

The forest greatly helps in the reduction of the amount of pollutants in the air, provides shade and maintaining the beauty of the place to fruits and flowers. The trees are the one responsible in the production of oxygen that humans and animals breathe, then the one who captures the carbon dioxide. It protects us from typhoons and other calamities as well as stops soil erosion. The forest is there for a reason just like everyone else on this planet.

We put in our hearts and mind that forest is the home of a lot of animals and where you will find various types of plants. There is no other way to restore nature but through reforestation. It is important to educate people about the important of the forest.
