Why Creating RGB And CMYK Can Be Difficult

By Franklin Skribbit

Everyone has different talents. Some were born to lead, others to follow. Some were born to paint while some were born to appreciate art. Whatever your predisposition, you have strengths that others may consider a weakness.

Too often an individual may focus so much on the things they aren't good at that they can't see the potential of their talents to help them succeed. More specifically, many of the self-proclaimed "artistically challenged" say they could never become a graphic artist, even though they are enamored of the field of study and by the final product.

People have learned impatience with anything connected to the internet, including your website. If your site takes longer than a second to load, it can drive people away.

First, color is printed differently to the screen then it is to a paper. Surely you've heard of RGB (red, green, blue) and CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and key [black]). These are two different methods to overlay colors to get any color you can imagine. Computers use RGB.

There are at least two distinct talents that could qualify you to become a graphic arts professional. Learn about each one and see if you have the potential to make it in this creative field.

First, compress your images. The smaller the file size, the less that has to load on your page. If you're using a JPEG, switch to a GIF or PNG. Both of these file types are compressed for web use. They can sometimes drop a three digit sized file down to two. Another tip is to take your pictures and resize them to the size you mean them to appear on the page.

Businesses are always looking for people that can do something with the images, not just create them. Some graphic artists build their careers around this one skill.

They don't need artistic ability with the pen or camera. Other people can do that. They find a talent within themselves for layout instead. And that's just as needed.

There are also several functions that are more efficient than others. Research the most efficient methods of working a process and you'll find some useful tips.

Inks mixing together work create different colors than light and therefore require special consideration. CMYK just happens to be the most basic form of color that can print the most colors you are used to seeing.

Give them a pen, pot of clay, or camera and they'll produce something truly beautiful in no time at all. These don't always have the ability to lay out their images in a beautiful and useful way though.

Outside of that, it never hurts to increase your website design education to learn the more formal approaches to CSS coding. You can learn a lot from a professor "in the know."

So whether you are creating the art or arranging it beautifully, your talents are much needed. There are several other ways to fit into this field.

Oftentimes the only encouragement you need is to be enamored with the process and production of beautiful pieces. If you have the drive/love, than you have the ability to succeed in the graphic arts profession.

It's best to host as much of your site on a single server as possible. These are just five ways you can begin seeing improvements in your site speed.
