How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior

By Barbara Hall

When it comes to the unconscious, it can often be one of the most powerful aspects in life. For, different experiences can often effect how the subconscious reacts to various situations. As a result, a new book Subliminal: How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior has now been released and is now available on Amazon through Kindle Direct and at local bookstores.

With over two decades of expertise in the field of neurology, it has now become clear that the subconscious mind can be a powerful tool for creating success in all areas of life. While social judgment, behavior and perception are often conscious actions, there are other subliminal actions which shape reality in the present. As a result, the author employs a number of explanations as to how different scientific subjects effect the subconscious in order to unravel the mysteries of the unconscious mind.

In doing so, Leonard shows how different experiences influence the way friendships, friendships, business partners and others can often misunderstand certain aspects of life while we also tend to forget events and other important aspects. Whereas, if individuals were to stay awake and aware of those around us, our relationships could grow and prosper over time.

While reviews on Good Reads and other sites are somewhat mixed, most are positive. In some cases, readers suggest that the book is so enthralling it is impossible to put it down. Whereas, others suggest that while there is a great deal of information, most is only a repeat of information which has been published by other authors in the past. In either case, it seems there are a number of people currently reading the book and that is always a plus for authors.

One reviewer suggested that much of the same information can be found in the books "Strangers to Ourselves" and "Blink." At the same time, the reviewer also indicated that the new information on blindsight was not only informative but interesting and insightful. In addition, the reviewer also talks about the cognitive behavior and biases and agrees with the author that no one can be completely objective.

A more specific review shed a great deal of light on the intent of the author to outline the weakness of the human mind. For, most people would not expect that the unconscious could overpower the conscious mind. Yet, depending on a number of circumstances and influences, it is often possible to do so.

While the book may seem similar to self-help books of the past, the publication attempts to go deeper into the workings of the conscious, subconscious and psyche than older versions. For, it is one thing to comprehend the existence of the subconscious and another to understand how the mind processes information related to daily life. As such, individuals whom desire to learn more about understanding how and why individuals act and react in certain ways will most likely enjoy the book.

As with any self-help publication, readers will often find benefits and drawbacks. For, there will always be those whom agree and disagree with various theories and practices found in these publications. Still, if interested in learning about the different actions of the mind, the book will most likely provide a great reading experience.
