Beliefs About NJ Presbyterian Churches That You Did Not Know

By Patricia Taylor

One main belief of the Presbyterians is that it is not possible leading a Christian life successfully separately from others. The good thing about the church is that it helps in encouragement, correction, and mutual support. To satisfy Gods intention, you should lead a good relationship with other Christian. This is the main reason why NJ Presbyterian churches have one form of government.

One thing that you should bear in mind about the presbyteries is that they are linked to the main church. The individuals in the church work hand in hand as a team so that they can run a successful ministry. It is important working together with other individuals. They believe that Gods calling for people is to be linked with church members and local congregations. Presbyterians are enjoying this calling by recognizing it.

The church members have a responsibility of ensuring that the gospel is available to every person in the world. The whole community should have awareness about the kingdom of Christ. For the gospel to be spread effectively, the church has various missionaries who are sent to different countries of the world. This promotes smooth running of activities in the local churches. The current world has many people who do not have information about salvation. Thus, the denomination is participating actively in preaching the gospel.

Mission activities are many which the local congregates participates in. They can be based at the national level, community or global level. For the members to fulfill Christian duty in the world, it is important that they should not consider their personal requirements. Due to a large number of people in the world who are not saved, it is important that the church should increase awareness on the gospel.

Wasting anyones mind is not a good thing. God has given you the precious gift of a sound mind. You should ensure that your reasoning faculty is trained so that it can offer the right service to Christ. That is why you will realize that minister in the Presbyterian Church must undergo training. Furthermore, elders as well as Sunday school teachers in the church must undergo training. Every church member is expected that they should increase their awareness on the Bible, history of the church and theology.

There are not many rituals and ceremonies involved in the Presbyterian Church. This main reason is that they do not want to cause disruptions on the key ceremonies provided to the church by Christ, which includes the Christs supper and baptism. These key ceremonies are also known as sacraments. They were instituted by Jesus to the churches.

Baptism occurs only once in your life. It shows that your sins have been forgiven and entrance to the life of holiness. Children and infants are baptized in the hope that they will lead a Christian life. Parents promise to raise the children in accordance with Gods principles. When adults profess their faith, they are provided with baptism sacrament.

The sacrament of the last supper is frequently provided in the church in Westfield NJ. Some congregations are known to celebrate the sacrament on every first Sunday of a month. The good thing about the sacrament is that it reminds us of spiritual nourishment provided by Jesus.
